BADAKIN.

Before the prophecy, there was a child who could fix almost anything.

Anakin's gift was obvious. So was his kindness. He dreamed of freedom before he understood what power might cost him, and he left home carrying both extraordinary promise and a very ordinary fear: that the people he loved could be taken away.

Everyone saw what he might become. Fewer asked what he needed along the way.

Talent made him exceptional. Attachment made him human. Secrecy made him vulnerable.

As a Padawan, Anakin learned discipline and grew into a formidable protector. But the rules asked him to master emotions he had never truly been taught to name. Admiration and mistrust followed him in equal measure.

He wanted to do good. He also wanted certainty: a way to win every battle, save every person, and never feel helpless again. That is a dangerous thing to promise someone.

The dark side offered an answer to his fear. The price was everything else.

His fall wasn't the discovery that he was secretly evil. It was the slow surrender of judgment to fear, and then of compassion to control. He called it protection. The people around him paid for it.

The tragedy is that we can still recognize the boy inside the armor. Recognition doesn't excuse the choices. It makes them harder to dismiss.
